In addition, visualizing your prospects or new leads against your existing clients, you will be able to find potentially clients within a specific area or en-route between visits, that their location was not obvious by simply looking at a long list.

How to close more deals faster

It’s possible and all that is needed is for you to either use 1) Google Maps, or 2) import your own business lists into your own Google My Maps created map using a KML file or via an imported CSV/TSV.

Option 1) – Using Google Maps by searching the business category of GMB (Google My Business) keyword near your area.
Option 2) – Importing your list of leads either from a) a CSV file or b) a KML file into your own generated map via Google My Maps.

They are both accessible within Google Maps app (via web browser or mobile apps), but the My Maps are Your Own Custom Maps within a section of this same Google Maps app that many may not know it even exists.

Considering option 1), whilst being on the road, this maybe a typical approach, where you may simply go ad-hoc and find your next lead by searching your Google Maps app. This maybe OK for most, but its not as good as option 2.

The preferred option 2) will allow you to have your ready made list of contacts to approach, mapped within the My Maps section of the Google Maps app.

To import your ready made list within my your My Maps, you need to have a list available in a supported file format (CSV, Excel, KML, GPX) that you can import into My Maps. The important part to also save on Geocoding costs is that you need to also include the coordinates (Latitude, Longitude) per business location within the imported file. Once this is done, you will have a list of markers (or places) plotted and available within that layer you create within My Maps.

Sounds simple right?
– Well not really, since you need the coordinates to be plotted to make something out of a map.
